[worship leader]
Hey you all!
How's it going everybody? The camp has opened my eyes tremendously and though us committee people weren't sure we could pull off this camp (keep in mind this is the first time we're doing it as a big scale and OUT OF TOWN camp)! We thought that the theme was too heavy... What if we couldn't deliver what we were selling?
We are only humans and as humans go, we are imperfect and egotistical. We completely forgot why we were holding this camp, or who we dedicated this camp to!
That goes without saying about the Band's first performance, we were so into making the worship likeable to the youths that we didn't think about God. That our praise and worship is supposed to be for Him. And as irony has it, it was less than bad. It was horrible.
Thank God Pastor W came and sat us down and told us about it. From there, we decided "You know what, we've been practicing for 2 or 3 weeks for the songs. All that's left to do is let the H.S. take control of us and our instruments and play. Worship Him while playing. Give Him our songs as offerings." Guess what? They couldn't believe the transformation. Even I couldn't. We were playing like the Hillsongs or Planetshakers were in the camp! (I'm not boasting) But that's how much difference there is when you've let go and let God have His way.
After all. It's all for Him amen?
Youth's going to be meeting again this friday. You know where and when! Just check out the announcements.
God bless you all and I hope your lives have changed as much as mine has after this camp.
See you this friday for another awesome encounter with The Most High!
